Why an Indian artist would care about Deezer
Deezer is small in India but well known in France, Germany, Belgium, parts of Africa and Latin America. Indian artists who distribute through TuneCore, DistroKid, CD Baby or similar services appear on Deezer automatically. Those targeting European audiences, such as Sufi, classical, fusion, electronic and world-music artists, sometimes want their Deezer presence to match what they've built on Spotify before pitching to European festivals, agents or radio.
Deezer is strict about fake streams
Deezer has been one of the most vocal platforms about fighting artificial streaming. It has publicly removed large numbers of fraudulent streams and introduced an artist-centric payment model that rewards real fan engagement. Paid plays can be filtered, earn no royalties, and repeated artificial activity can put your releases at risk with Deezer and your distributor. Keep any order modest and gradual.

Getting the right link
Open the track on Deezer and use Share → Copy link, or copy the browser URL: deezer.com/track/123456789. Short deezer.page.link URLs work too. The track must be live and available in Deezer's catalogue.
Placing the order
Paste the track link, choose a quantity between a small and a large, and pay. On the default option, 1,000 plays take about a few hours to 2 days. Deezer's public counts update with a delay.
Claim your artist page first
Use Deezer for Creators to claim your artist profile, add a photo and a biography (in English and, if you target France, in French), and check that your releases aren't split across two artist pages because of spelling differences. Ask your distributor to fix any splits before ordering, so plays land on the right page.
Real listeners in Europe

Deezer's payment model gives more weight to streams from listeners who actively seek out an artist, and less to background or artificial listening. In practice that means plays from engaged fans are worth far more to you than any number of paid plays. If you want Deezer income, focus on getting real listeners in the countries where Deezer is popular to search for your name, follow you and add your songs to their playlists.
Plays and Flow
Deezer's personalised Flow recommends tracks based on listening habits. Tracks that real listeners save and replay are more likely to appear in other listeners' Flow. Paid plays don't build those signals, so they won't get you into Flow on their own.
