Most Indian gaming streamers grew up on YouTube Live, but a growing number of BGMI, Valorant and GTA RP streamers also stream on Twitch for its chat culture and the international audience. The problem on Twitch is discovery: the directory sorts by viewer count, so a stream with 2 viewers sits at the bottom of the category list.

Followers vs live viewers

Followers are permanent and count towards Twitch's Affiliate requirements alongside broadcast hours and average viewers. Live viewers are temporary. A note on Twitch rules
