Why people buy watch time
The YouTube Partner Programme asks for 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 public watch hours on long videos in the last 12 months (or 10 million Shorts views in 90 days). Most small channels hit 1,000 subscribers long before 4,000 hours. Watch-time services deliver long views to a video so the hours add up in YouTube Studio's monetisation progress.
Read this before ordering
Watch hours from paid views show up in Studio, but approval isn't automatic. YouTube reviews every channel against its policies, including originality and inauthentic engagement, and channels can be rejected or later demonetised. Channels with reused content, such as clips, compilations or reuploads without real commentary, get rejected regardless of hours. Treat bought hours as a way to see whether your content passes review sooner, not as a guarantee of income.
Video requirements
Watch time is delivered on one public video. It must be long enough for the option, usually 30 minutes to an hour or more; many options ask for a video of at least 60 minutes. Shorts, live streams still running, unlisted and private videos don't count toward public watch hours. Uploading a long video specifically for this, such as a full tutorial, a podcast episode or a long-form vlog, is common.
Prices
On the default option, 1,000 hours cost ₹8,399 and 4,000 hours cost ₹33,596. Options differ in required video length, speed and whether they include a refill. The table shows them all, updated 24 Oct 2026.
Delivery speed
Hours accumulate as views play, so delivery takes days, not minutes. Many options deliver a few hundred hours a day. On the default option, 1,000 hours take about a few hours to 2 days. Studio's watch-time figure can lag a day or two behind the actual views.
Drops
YouTube can remove views and their watch time if it considers them invalid. Options with a refill period can be refilled within the window. Keep the video public for the full 12 months the hours need to count.
Placing the order
Upload or choose a long public video. Copy its link and paste it in the order box. Choose the number of hours and an option whose minimum video length your video meets. Pay, and check progress in Studio over the following days. Don't delete, shorten or make the video private.
Earning real watch time
Long videos that people watch to the end: complete recipes, full exam strategy sessions, detailed product comparisons, podcasts with good guests. Playlists that autoplay into your next video. Live streams saved as long videos count once they're archived publicly. Real watch hours are what YouTube's reviewers expect to see alongside paid ones.
Example: a UPSC strategy channel
A Delhi UPSC mentor has 1,600 subscribers and 900 watch hours. She uploads a full 2-hour answer-writing masterclass in Hindi and orders 2,000 hours on it over two weeks, while continuing to post weekly long videos. Her channel crosses the threshold, and because her content is original teaching, it passes YouTube's review.
