What boosts unlock
Telegram lets Premium subscribers boost channels they like. As a channel collects boosts, it reaches levels that unlock features: posting stories, more stories per day, custom emoji reactions, a profile colour and background, emoji status and more. The exact boosts needed for each level are shown in your channel's Boosts section and change from time to time.
Why admins buy boosts
Most small channels don't have enough Premium subscribers to reach the first levels. Without stories, a channel misses a spot at the top of subscribers' chat lists. Without custom reactions, it can't add its own branded emoji. Boosts unlock those features so you can use them while real subscribers' boosts build up.
Boosts expire
Boosts are tied to the boosting account's Premium subscription and last for a period, typically around a month, unless renewed. When boosts expire, the channel may drop a level and lose features. Each option card states how long its boosts last, and you'll need a new order to keep features after that.
Prices
Boost options start from ₹10. On the default option, 10 boosts cost the live price and 50 cost the live price. Prices are per boost and higher than views or members because each boost comes from a Premium account. See the table for duration and limits, updated 25 Oct 2026.
How many to order
Open your channel's Boosts section to see how many boosts you have and how many you need for the next level. Order the difference, with a small margin in case a boost expires early.
Links that work
Use your public channel link (t.me/yourchannel). The channel must be public for most boost options.
Placing the order
Paste the link, choose the number of boosts within the option's limits, and pay. Watch your channel's Boosts section for the new level. Once unlocked, post a story or set your custom reactions.
Make the features count
Use stories for short-lived updates such as offers, countdowns and behind-the-scenes clips, so subscribers have a reason to tap your circle at the top of their chats. Use custom reactions to give your community its own emoji. Features you unlock but don't use are money spent on nothing.
Paying and tracking
Top up by UPI from ₹100. The order page shows how many boosts have been applied. If an order ends short, the undelivered boosts are refunded to your wallet automatically.
Example: unlocking stories for a news channel
A Malayalam news channel with 9,000 subscribers has only 2 boosts and can't post stories. The admin orders enough boosts to reach the first level, then posts two short stories a day with the top headlines. Subscribers who open Telegram see the channel's story ring at the top and tap through to the full posts, and the admin reorders boosts when the period ends.
Real boosts from subscribers
Ask subscribers who have Telegram Premium to boost the channel. Post the boost link (found in the channel's Boosts section) with a clear reason: “Help us unlock stories so we can post live match updates.” Some admins run giveaways of Premium subscriptions, which Telegram supports natively, so winners' boosts go to the channel. Paid boosts fill the gap; real boosts from loyal subscribers are free and last as long as their Premium does.
