WhatsApp Channels in India
WhatsApp Channels are one-way broadcast feeds inside the Updates tab. India is WhatsApp's biggest market, and channels have taken off for news outlets, cricket updates, government departments, creators, coaching institutes, shops and local businesses. The follower count is shown on the channel's profile and in the directory where people discover channels, and it's the first thing anyone judges.
Privacy works in your favour
Followers can't see each other, and they can't see the admin's phone number. Admins can't see followers' numbers either. That means bought followers are invisible as individuals; only the count shows. It also means real followers feel safe joining, which is why channels are growing so quickly.
Prices
On the default option, 500 followers cost ₹39.50, 1,000 cost ₹79 and 5,000 cost ₹395. Indian followers, where listed, cost more. See the table for start time, daily speed and refill, updated 24 Oct 2026.
Followers and reactions
Channel posts show emoji reaction counts and, for admins, how many people viewed each update. A channel with 10,000 followers and zero reactions on every post looks lifeless. Add reactions to your key updates with the WhatsApp channel reactions service, and post content that invites real ones.
Getting the invite link
Open your channel, tap the channel name, then Share or Copy link. It looks like whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va… . Paste that full link. The channel must be public, which all channels are by default unless WhatsApp has restricted them.
How many to order
Match your posting and your real audience. A shop that broadcasts to 300 customers looks natural with a channel of 1,000–3,000 followers. A creator with 50,000 Instagram followers can carry a channel of 5,000–10,000. Large jumps on a new channel with two posts look odd in the directory.
Drops
Followers can leave, and WhatsApp removes banned accounts. Stable options include a refill period; tap Refill on the order page if the count falls within it.
Placing the order
Paste the channel link, choose a tier and a quantity between 10 and 1,00,000, and pay. On the default option, 1,000 followers take about a few hours to 2 days.
Grow real followers
Share the channel link in your WhatsApp status, your business profile, your Instagram bio and on printed QR codes in your shop. Tell people what they'll get: daily offers, new arrivals, exam updates or match scores. Post at the same times each day, keep posts short, and use polls, which WhatsApp channels support.
Paying and tracking
Top up by UPI from any app. The order page shows progress. Undelivered followers are refunded to your wallet automatically.
Example: a Jaipur sweet shop
A Jaipur sweet shop starts a WhatsApp Channel for festive orders and daily specials, with 140 followers from regular customers. Before Diwali it orders 1,500 followers on Stable, prints a QR code for the counter and posts the festive box menu with prices. Customers who scan the code see a busy channel and follow it, and pre-orders come in through the shop's WhatsApp Business number.
Channels versus WhatsApp groups and broadcasts
Groups are two-way and capped in size; broadcast lists only reach people who saved your number. Channels have no follower limit, followers don't need your number, and they discover you through the Updates tab directory and shared links. For most businesses and creators, a channel is the easiest way to reach many people on WhatsApp without exposing numbers on either side.
