Deezer for Indian artists
Deezer is a French music streaming service with a large audience in France, Brazil, Germany and several African and Middle Eastern markets. It isn't widely used in India, where JioSaavn, Spotify, Gaana, YouTube Music and Apple Music dominate. But if you release through a distributor like DistroKid, TuneCore or CD Baby, your music is almost certainly on Deezer already.
Indian artists who care about Deezer are usually those with listeners in Europe or the Gulf, or those pitching to labels and promoters abroad who check every platform.
Artist followers vs playlist followers
Deezer has artist profiles, which you claim through Deezer for Creators, and user playlists, which anyone can make public. Both have follower counts. An artist profile's fans are shown as a number on the profile; a playlist's followers show how many people saved it.
Paste the right link for what you want to grow. Orders can't be moved between an artist page and a playlist after they start.
What the order does
The order adds followers from Deezer accounts over a day or two. The number on your profile or playlist rises. The followers won't stream your songs, so they won't earn royalties or move you up Deezer's charts.
Deezer uses an artist-centric payment model that weighs real, engaged listening and filters out suspicious streams. Followers don't change that.
Deezer's rules
Deezer's terms prohibit artificial manipulation of streams and engagement, and it has been particularly active in removing fake streams and penalising fraudulent activity. Followers carry less risk than streams, but accounts can still be removed, and the count can drop.
Never buy streams for music you distribute. Distributors can remove releases and withhold royalties when platforms report artificial streaming, and Deezer reports it.
Who it suits
It suits an artist whose Deezer profile is empty while their Spotify and Instagram are active, and who is about to share their Deezer link with a European promoter or label. It suits a curator who has built a good playlist and wants it to look followed when pitching it.
It doesn't suit anyone looking for listeners in India. Very few Indian listeners use Deezer.
Claim your artist profile first
Claim your profile through Deezer for Creators so you can add a photo, a bio and links. An unclaimed profile with a high follower number looks less credible than a claimed one with a modest number.
Use the same artist name and image as on your other platforms, so editors can match your profiles.
How many to order
Keep it modest. If your Deezer listens are low, a few hundred followers is plenty. For playlists, match the follower count to the playlist's length and quality; a 15-track playlist with 10,000 followers looks odd.
You can always add more later. Smaller orders also look more natural.
Example
A Bengaluru indie band plays a short tour in Germany. Their distributor delivered their EP to every platform, but their Deezer profile shows 4 fans. Before the tour, they claim the profile, add a photo and bio, and order 200 followers.
When German venue promoters look them up on Deezer, the profile looks complete. The real growth comes after the shows, when people who saw them play look them up.
What followers won't do
They won't stream, earn royalties, raise you in Deezer's charts or get you onto Deezer's editorial playlists. They won't bring Indian listeners. They're a number on the profile.
Use them only as a finishing touch on a profile you're actually sharing.
Getting the link right
Copy the link from a browser: deezer.com/artist/ followed by a number for an artist, or deezer.com/playlist/ followed by a number for a playlist. Make sure a playlist is public. Shortened share links from the app sometimes work, but a full browser link is safest.
Check the number matches your artist page; Deezer sometimes has duplicate profiles for artists with common names.
Privacy
We never ask for your Deezer login or Deezer for Creators access. Only the public link is used, and we never post from your account.
Listeners won't see that you placed an order.
Payment and refunds
Top up your wallet by UPI from ₹100 and pay from the wallet. If the order is only partly delivered, the rest is refunded to your wallet automatically.
Wallet money can be used on any other service, including Spotify and YouTube, which matter more for most Indian artists.
