What a YouTube share is
When someone taps Share and sends a video to WhatsApp, Telegram, X, Facebook or by copying the link, YouTube records a share. On long videos the share count isn't public; it shows in YouTube Studio under engagement. On Shorts, the share button sits on the side of the player. Shares are one of the signals YouTube considers alongside watch time, likes and comments.
Who buys shares
Creators who report engagement to sponsors, where shares sit next to likes and comments. Agencies whose clients look at full engagement breakdowns. Channels whose content is built to be passed around, such as news explainers, devotional songs, exam updates and funny clips, where low shares would look strange next to high views.
Prices
On the default option, 100 shares cost ₹10, 500 cost ₹49.50 and 1,000 cost ₹99. Some options name the platforms the shares appear to go to, such as WhatsApp, Facebook or X. Check the table for details, updated 24 Oct 2026.
Ratios
Shares are usually far fewer than likes, often 5–20% of likes on content people forward, and much lower on tutorials. A video with 400 likes looks normal with 20–80 shares. Thousands of shares on a video with a few hundred views looks wrong in Analytics.
What shares don't do
Paid shares don't bring the viewers that real shares bring. When a real person sends your video to a family WhatsApp group, a dozen people may watch. Paid shares register the share action; they don't come with an audience. If you need viewers, buy views; if you want reach from shares, make content people want to forward.
Making videos people forward
In India, the most-forwarded YouTube videos are useful or emotional: government scheme explainers in Hindi, exam result updates, devotional songs on festival mornings, cricket reactions, simple health tips from real doctors, and comedy about family life. Put the key information in the title and the first 20 seconds so the person forwarding knows exactly why they're sending it.
Placing the order
Use a public video or Short. Copy the link from Share, paste it into the order box, choose a quantity between 100 and 1,00,000, and pay. The order page tracks our delivery; Studio shows shares in engagement reports, which can lag.
Drops
Shares rarely drop once recorded, because they're actions rather than follows. Options list any refill on the card.
Paying and tracking
Top up by UPI from ₹100 with any UPI app. If an order delivers only partly, the undelivered shares are refunded to your wallet automatically.
Example: a government-scheme explainer
A Lucknow creator explains new central and state government schemes in simple Hindi. Each explainer gets real shares from viewers who forward it to family groups. For a sponsored video from a fintech app, he adds 100 shares and some likes to keep engagement in line with his usual explainers, then shows the sponsor a normal-looking engagement report.
Shares on Shorts versus long videos
On Shorts, the share button is visible on screen, and Shorts that get shared in the first hours tend to travel further in the feed. On long videos, shares are hidden from viewers and matter mainly in Analytics and sponsor reports. If your goal is visible social proof, Shorts shares are the better use; if it's a complete engagement report, long-video shares round out the numbers.
