The number every new YouTuber knows
4,000 public watch hours in the last 12 months, together with 1,000 subscribers, is the long-form route into the YouTube Partner Programme. That's why it's one of the most searched YouTube services in India. It's also the one where buyers most need straight facts before spending.
What YouTube actually checks
Meeting the thresholds only lets you apply. A human and automated review then looks at your channel's main theme, most-watched videos, newest uploads and the share of watch time they hold, checking for original content, reused content and inauthentic traffic. YouTube can remove watch time it considers invalid, refuse the application, or demonetise later. We don't promise approval, and anyone who does isn't being honest with you.
Is your channel ready?
A channel that has original long-form videos, uploads regularly, has real comments and has already built a meaningful share of the hours on its own is in a reasonable position. A channel with reposted clips, compilations or a handful of short videos isn't, and 4,000 bought hours won't change the review outcome. Be honest about where you stand before ordering.
Video requirements
Only public long-form videos count. Shorts, unlisted, private, deleted and made-for-kids videos don't. Choose several of your longest videos, ideally 30 minutes or more, so the hours spread naturally. Don't change their visibility during delivery or in the months after, because hours on removed videos disappear from the 12-month total.
Gradual delivery
4,000 hours delivered in a few days is the pattern review systems look for. Good options spread it over several weeks; on the default option it takes about 1–5 days. Keep uploading during delivery so your newest videos look as watched as your older ones.
A cheaper first step
If your channel already has real hours, you may need far fewer than 4,000. Check Studio, under Earn, for your current 12-month total and order only the gap, using the custom quantity on the watch-time service or the 1,000-hour pack.
Example
A Jaipur history channel posts 40-minute documentaries on Rajasthan's forts in Hindi. After a year it has 2,100 subscribers but only 1,400 real watch hours, because uploads were slow. The creator orders 2,600 hours across ten documentaries over five weeks rather than the full 4,000, keeps uploading every fortnight and applies when Studio shows 4,000. The review sees a year of original documentaries.
Refunds and refills
If fewer than 4,000 hours are delivered, the difference is refunded to your wallet automatically. Drops within your option's refill period are topped up free from the order page.
