Why the members list matters in groups
Unlike Page followers, group members are visible to everyone in the group through the Members tab. In a Lucknow flat-rental group, a Chennai parents' group or a Kerala alumni group, people often scroll the list to see who else is there. A list full of foreign or empty profiles makes locals suspicious; Indian names and faces make the group look like the community it claims to be.
Who orders Indian group members
Admins of city buy-and-sell, rental and jobs groups, residents' welfare associations, alumni and school groups, regional community and language groups, coaching and course communities, and local business owners running customer groups.
Settings for delivery
The group must be visible, with a facebook.com/groups/… link. Turn off admin approval and membership questions until the order completes, or members wait in the pending list and can't be counted. Re-enable them afterwards.
What “Indian” means
Indian options use accounts that appear Indian by name, language and listed location. Facebook doesn't confirm locations to sellers, so treat it as Indian-weighted rather than a verified local list.
Moderation
Before members arrive, write clear rules, pin a welcome post explaining what the group is for, and appoint a co-admin or two. Use post approval for new members' first posts to keep spam out. A clean group keeps the real members you attract.
Example
A Navi Mumbai resident started a group for families in Kharghar to swap children's books, uniforms and toys. After a month it had 60 members, mostly her friends. She ordered 1,000 Indian group members, pinned a post on how to list items, and shared the link in building WhatsApp groups. Parents who joined saw a group full of local-looking families, and swap posts started appearing daily.
How many to order
Start with 500–1,000 for a new local group. Larger city groups competing with established ones can carry more, but only if posting activity keeps up.
Seed real conversation
Members bring the count up; posts bring people back. Post a few useful threads before sharing the link, and ask friends who genuinely fit the group to post first.
Indian versus mixed members
Mixed members are cheaper, but in groups where members see each other, mixed lists look wrong for local communities. Indian members are worth the difference here.
Delivery pace
Members arrive gradually over days. A steady climb looks like a group being shared around a city.
Payment and refunds
Pay by UPI from any app. If approval settings block delivery or fewer members join, the undelivered part is refunded to your wallet automatically.
Group or Page?
Groups suit conversations between members; Pages suit announcements from a business. If you mainly broadcast offers, Page followers may serve you better than group members.
