Why shares are a strong signal
Instagram has said publicly that sends, when people share a post in DMs, are one of the strongest signals for reaching people who don't follow you. A Reel that people forward to friends is a Reel worth showing to more strangers. Shares also appear on Reels as a visible count, next to likes and comments.
Prices
On the default option, 100 shares cost ₹10, 500 cost ₹10 and 1,000 cost ₹10. The table lists start time, speed and limits for each option, updated 24 Oct 2026.
Content that earns real shares
People share things that say something about them or help someone they know: a funny relatable moment, a useful tip, a deal, a meme in the right language, a recipe someone's mother would like. If a Reel is built to be sent (“Send this to your friend who…”), paid shares sit naturally alongside real ones. If it's a plain product shot, shares look out of place.
Ratios that look right
Shares are usually fewer than likes, often 5–20% of likes on Reels that travel, much lower on photos. Order shares alongside views and likes rather than on their own, and keep them proportionate.
Placing the order
Keep the account public and sharing allowed. Copy the post or Reel link, paste it, choose a quantity between 10 and 21,75,45,811 and pay. The order page shows progress. Don't archive the post during delivery.
Shares versus saves
Shares tell Instagram people want to pass the post on; saves tell it people want to come back to it. Tips, recipes and lists earn saves; humour and relatable moments earn shares. If your Reel is a useful how-to, look at saves too.
Drops
Shares rarely drop, because a share is an action already taken. Options list any refill period on the card.
Example: a Pune meme page
A Pune college meme page posts a Reel about hostel mess food in Marathi and English. It orders 2,000 views, 150 likes and 40 shares within the first 15 minutes. The share count signals that the joke landed, students start forwarding it to their batch groups, and real shares outnumber the paid ones by evening.
Writing captions that invite shares
Tell people who to send it to. “Tag the friend who always orders late night Maggi”, “Send this to your PG roommate”, “Share with someone preparing for CAT”. Put the line on screen in the first seconds and in the caption. Specific audiences share more than general ones, which is why regional meme pages, exam-prep pages and city pages often get high share counts in India.
When shares aren't worth buying
Product photos, price lists and announcements rarely get real shares. Paid shares on those posts don't match how people behave and won't help much. Spend on likes or views for those posts, and keep shares for content built to be passed around.
