Why poll votes help
X polls are an easy way to get people to interact, but a poll with 3 votes discourages others from voting. A believable total makes the poll look active, which brings real voters in. Creators use polls to choose topics, start debates and learn what their audience thinks.
Where paid votes are not okay
Don't use paid votes to fake public opinion. That includes polls presented as surveys of what people think about a politician, a brand or a social issue, polls used as evidence in news or marketing, and polls that decide contests or prizes. Inflating those results misleads people and breaks X's rules on platform manipulation. Use paid votes only to warm up casual polls whose result doesn't matter to anyone else.
Prices
On the default option, 100 poll votes cost ₹10, 500 cost ₹19.50 and 1,000 cost ₹39. See the table, updated 24 Oct 2026.
Choose the option carefully
Enter the option number as it appears in the poll, counting from 1 at the top. Votes can't be moved once cast. If you're warming up a casual poll, splitting votes across options looks more natural than putting everything on one.
Poll duration
X polls run for a set time, from minutes to 7 days. Order early in the poll's life; votes can't be added once it closes, and any undelivered votes are refunded.
Placing the order
Copy the poll post link, paste it, enter the option number and quantity between 100 and 20,000, and pay. The account must be public.
Paying and tracking
Top up by UPI from ₹100. If the poll closes before delivery finishes, the undelivered votes are refunded to your wallet automatically.
Example: a content-choice poll
A Kochi travel creator asks: “Next long thread: Kerala monsoon trip on ₹15k, or Hampi on ₹10k?” She orders 60 votes split between the two options in the first hour. The poll looks active, real followers vote, and the winning option becomes a thread that her audience actually asked for.
Writing polls people answer
Keep the question short and the options distinct. Two to four options work best; X allows up to four. Make it easy to answer from instinct: “Chai or coffee at work?”, “Which IPL team has the best bowling attack?”, “Should we post more threads or more videos?”. Polls that invite people to defend their choice also bring replies, which helps reach. Share the result in a follow-up post so voters see the outcome.
Short polls and long polls
A one-hour poll during a live event, like a match or a product launch, gets fast votes from people already online. A one-day or three-day poll collects votes from more time zones and more of your followers. For paid votes, longer polls look more natural, because votes can arrive gradually instead of all at once.
Polls for creators and brands
Creators use polls to pick topics and to keep followers engaged between big posts. Brands use them for light engagement, such as choosing a new flavour name. Treat the result as a conversation starter, not as data. If you need real customer research, use a proper survey with verified respondents.
