The starter size
If your videos usually get 50–300 views, adding 1,000 makes a new upload look like it found an audience, without looking out of place next to your other videos. For a channel whose videos get 5,000 views, 1,000 barely shows; a 10,000 pack fits better. A simple rule: order two to five times what your videos usually get.
Retention options
Plain views raise the counter. Retention options keep viewers on the video for longer, which adds a little watch time in Studio and looks more natural in analytics. They cost more. If you share Studio analytics with a client or sponsor, retention views are the better choice; for the public counter alone, the default is enough.
Why YouTube counts can pause
YouTube verifies views before showing them, and the public count sometimes freezes for a few hours, especially around the first few hundred views. That's normal. The count catches up once YouTube has checked the views. Delivery continues while the counter is paused.
Timing
Order on the day you upload. A new video that already shows views gets clicked more by people browsing your channel and by subscribers who see it in their feed. Views on older videos help before a client, sponsor or investor looks at your channel.
Add a few likes
On Indian channels, 1,000 views usually come with 20–50 likes and a few comments. A video with 1,000 views and no likes looks odd. Add likes in proportion, and reply to every real comment.
Example
A Lucknow chikankari boutique starts posting short video tours of new collections. Each video gets about 150 views from its Instagram followers. The owner adds 1,000 views and 40 likes to each new collection video. The channel looks active when customers from outside Lucknow find it through Google, and video-call orders pick up.
Getting the link
Tap Share under the video and copy the link. watch?v= and youtu.be links both work. For Shorts, use the Shorts views service instead. The video must stay public during delivery; private or deleted videos can't receive views, and the remainder is refunded.
