Who 10,000 followers fit
Artists with several releases and real listeners whose follower count lags behind their live audience, labels and curators running genre playlists, and artists preparing for tours or brand deals. A new artist with two songs and a few hundred plays looks odd at 10,000; build up from 1,000.
Playlist curators
Curators of Indian genre playlists, such as Hindi indie, Punjabi pop or lo-fi study music, often use followers to attract submissions and listeners. If you run a playlist, keep it updated weekly, give it a clear cover and description, and add followers gradually as the playlist grows.
Keep the profile consistent
An artist page with 10,000 followers usually shows thousands of monthly listeners and tracks with tens of thousands of plays. Add plays and monthly listeners in proportion over the same weeks, and keep releasing music so the page looks active.

A Chandigarh Punjabi pop artist sells out college shows across the state, but his Spotify page shows 2,300 followers because most fans stream on YouTube. Before applying to a national festival, he orders 10,000 followers over three weeks, adds plays to his two biggest songs and links Spotify from his YouTube channel. Festival bookers see a profile closer to his real live draw.
Risk
Spotify can remove artificial followers and act on accounts with artificial activity. Choose steadier options with refills, deliver slowly and keep numbers proportionate.
What followers won't do
They won't stream your songs or buy tickets. Present your real ticket sales, streams and audience to bookers and brands honestly.
