Why replies matter on X
Replies are the conversation under a post, and X treats them as one of its strongest engagement signals. Readers also scroll replies to see what people think before they join in. A post with 300 likes and no replies looks like a statement nobody wanted to discuss; a few thoughtful replies, answered by the author, look like a conversation worth joining.
Why Indian accounts
In Indian conversations about markets, cricket, startups, policy or cinema, replies from accounts with Indian names writing in Hinglish or regional languages look like the real audience. Replies from obviously foreign accounts in perfect generic English don't.
Write replies people would write
Ask a follow-up question, add a related fact, disagree politely, or share a quick experience in general terms: “Does this apply to salaried people under the new regime?”, “Same thing happened in Pune last monsoon”, “Bhai chart 3 ka source?”. Keep them short and varied.
What not to write
Don't invent testimonials (“Used this app, got my loan in 10 minutes!”) or pile onto another person. Fake endorsements mislead readers, and coordinated harassment breaks X's rules.
How many replies
Replies usually run at a few percent of likes on ordinary posts, more on questions and controversial topics. A post with 400 likes looks natural with 8–30 replies.
Answer them
The value is in your responses. Reply to each one with something useful. X shows author replies prominently, and readers trust posts where the author engages.
Example
A Lucknow chartered accountant posted a thread on new TDS rules for freelancers. It had 250 likes but only two replies. He added 12 Indian replies he wrote himself, asking about specific cases like YouTube income and foreign clients, and answered each with details. Real freelancers started asking their own questions in the replies, and he gained several new clients from the thread over the following week.
Pacing
Spread replies over the first hour or two if the option allows. A block of replies in the same minute looks staged.
Getting the link
Tap Share on the post, then Copy link. Replies can't be delivered if you've limited who can reply; set replies to Everyone during delivery.
Pair with likes
Replies look natural on a post with a believable number of likes and views. Add those first if the post is new.
Do replies drop?
Replies vanish if X suspends the account that posted them. Choose options with refill for posts that must stay consistent.
Payment and refunds
Pay by UPI from any app. Replies that can't be posted, for example because replies were limited, are refunded to your wallet automatically.
