Where the likes come from
Likes are delivered from a pool of accounts managed by the service. Better pools have accounts with profile photos, posts and followers of their own, and Indian options use Indian names. Anyone tapping the like count can see who liked, so account quality matters more for likes than for follower numbers.
Real engagement versus likes

Neither type will buy from you or comment, so choose based on how the like list looks to real visitors.
When likes make sense
Launch posts, offers, collaboration posts and pinned posts that new visitors see first. Spreading likes over every post forever costs more and helps less than improving the posts themselves. Many small businesses add likes only to their three pinned posts and their weekly best Reel.
