When 100 likes fit
On an account with a couple of thousand followers, a strong post might collect 30 to 150 likes. A hundred keeps a post in that natural range while making it stand out from posts that got almost nothing. It suits launch announcements, hiring posts, key threads and product updates.
Threads
For a thread, add likes to the first post only. That's the one people see in their feeds and the one that decides whether they open the rest.
Pair with views
Every X post shows a view count. A hundred likes usually come with a few thousand views. If your post shows 300 views, add views too so the numbers agree.
Example: a Pune hiring post
A Pune SaaS startup's founder posts that they're hiring two backend engineers, with the salary range and stack. She adds 100 likes and 3,000 views in the first hour. Developers scrolling past see a post others have engaged with, several quote it to their networks, and the role gets thirty strong applications.
What spreads posts
X ranks posts heavily on replies, reposts and bookmarks, especially replies the author responds to. Likes help social proof; real conversation is what carries a post further.
Timing
Order within the first hour after posting, when the post is newest in followers' feeds.
