Do X views drop?
Very rarely. A view is counted when someone sees the post, and X seldom removes views afterwards. Occasionally, after X cleans up activity from suspended accounts, a post's count is adjusted. On ordinary posts nobody notices. On a pinned post or a sponsored post that a client checks at the end of a campaign, even a small correction can raise a question.
When refill views make sense
Sponsored posts with reporting at fixed dates. A pinned introduction or announcement that every profile visitor sees. Posts embedded on websites, where the view count shows in the embed. Threads you quote in pitches or media kits.
How refill works
The order page records the view count at the start, the amount delivered and the end of the refill window. If the count falls below that total during the window, the Refill button activates; tap it and the shortfall is sent again.
What isn't covered
Deleted posts, accounts that become protected or suspended, and handle changes.
Choosing the window
Cover the longest period anyone will check the post: a sponsor's reporting period, or the months a post stays pinned or embedded.
Example
A Gurugram consumer-tech reviewer posted a sponsored X thread about a smartwatch, with the brand's agency reporting views at day one, day fourteen and day thirty. He added 20,000 views with a 60-day refill. Around day ten X adjusted counts on several of his posts by a few hundred after a spam clean-up; he tapped Refill and the number recovered before the agency's second check.
Pair with likes that hold
If the sponsor checks likes too, protect them with likes with refill or non-drop likes on the same post.
Cost
Refill views cost a little more than basic views. Because X views so rarely drop, use refill only on the few posts that will be checked later; cheap views are enough for everyday posts.
Keep a record
Screenshot the post's views when delivery finishes and before each sponsor check, alongside the order page.
Getting the link
Tap Share on the post, then Copy link. The account must stay public through the refill window.
Threads
For a sponsored thread, the brand usually looks at the first post. Put the refill order there.
Payment and refunds
Pay by UPI with nothing added at checkout. Undelivered views are refunded at once; refills cover corrections after delivery.
Embedded posts
When a post is embedded on a website or in a news article, the embed shows the same counts as the original. Readers who see an embedded post weeks later see whatever the numbers are then. For posts embedded in your own website, press coverage or a client's case study, a refill window keeps the embedded view count consistent with what was reported at launch, which avoids confusion for anyone comparing the two.
