Telegram and crypto
Telegram is the default chat app for many crypto projects and communities worldwide, and Indian crypto users follow channels for market news, exchange updates, airdrops and education. Project groups handle support and community discussion. Member counts are often treated as a signal of a project's popularity, which is why this is a sensitive use.
Don't mislead investors
Using bought members to make a token, presale or NFT look more popular can lead people to invest in something they otherwise wouldn't. That harms them and may expose you to legal action. We won't help with that. A genuine educational community or a project being open about its size is a different matter.
India's crypto rules
India taxes gains on virtual digital assets at 30% with 1% TDS on transfers above a threshold, exchanges serving Indian users must register with the Financial Intelligence Unit, and ASCI's guidelines require crypto ads to carry a risk disclaimer. If your community promotes tokens to Indian users, get advice on what you can say.
What we'd order
1. A modest number of members for a new educational channel or community group.
2. Post views in proportion, so updates don't look unread.
3. Nothing that suggests demand or traction that doesn't exist.
Scams are the biggest threat
Crypto groups are full of fake admins, 'support' accounts and phishing links. Pin a warning that admins never DM first and will never ask for seed phrases, restrict who can post links, and use an anti-spam bot.
Example: a crypto education channel
A Kochi developer runs a Malayalam Telegram channel explaining blockchain basics, wallet security and how to spot scams, with no token promotion. It has 150 members. He orders 1,000 members and adds views to his weekly security explainer. Real members join from his YouTube channel, and the channel becomes a go-to resource for beginners in Kerala.
Channels and groups
Use a channel for announcements and a linked group for discussion. Members can go to either; paste the public t.me link.
Telegram's rules
Telegram prohibits spam and fraud, and removes accounts it flags.
Views and members
Experienced crypto users spot channels with large member counts and tiny view counts. Keep them in proportion.
Delivery
Members join gradually, starting within 0-15 min. Some may drop as Telegram removes accounts.
Budget
Keep spending small. Top up by UPI; undelivered quantity is refunded automatically.
Privacy
We never ask for your Telegram login, admin rights or wallet details. Anyone asking for a seed phrase is a scammer.
Disclaimers
Pin a disclaimer that content isn't financial advice, crypto is volatile and unregulated in many respects, and people should only invest what they can afford to lose.
Our position
We help genuine communities look less empty. We don't help tokens look more popular than they are.
Bilingual and regional channels
Many Indian crypto beginners prefer explanations in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam or Bengali. A regional-language channel that explains basics clearly can stand out in a crowded space. Keep terms like 'seed phrase' and 'private key' in English alongside the translation, so readers recognise them in apps.
Grow with education
Weekly explainers, scam alerts, beginner Q&A sessions and clear summaries of regulatory news build a following that trusts you. Share them on YouTube Shorts and X with your Telegram link. People join channels that keep them safe.
