Why Story views matter to brands
When a brand considers paying a creator, it often asks for screenshots of Story views, because Stories show how many followers actually watch. A creator with 20,000 followers and 300 Story views looks less engaged than one with 8,000 followers and 1,500. Story views also matter to small businesses that use Stories for daily offers, new stock and countdowns.
How Story views work
Story views are ordered on your profile link, not a single Story link. The views go to the Stories that are live when delivery runs. If you have several Stories up, views usually land on each of them, starting with the first. Stories disappear after 24 hours, so order while your Stories are fresh.
Prices
On the default option, 500 Story views cost the live price, 1,000 cost the live price and 5,000 cost the live price. Check the table for start time and speed, updated 24 Oct 2026.
What Story views don't do
They don't reply, react, tap stickers or vote in polls. They raise the viewer count you see in the Story's viewer list. If a brand looks closely at your Story insights, it will see reach numbers too. Use Story views to keep a steady baseline, not to claim an audience you don't have in a media kit.
Good Story habits
Post Stories daily if you can; Instagram shows Stories from accounts people interact with first, so regular posting keeps you near the front. Use stickers such as polls, questions and quizzes, which invite real taps. Put your best Story first, because many people drop off after the first frame. Save the best ones to Highlights so they keep working after 24 hours.
Placing the order
Keep the account public and post at least one Story first. Paste your profile link (instagram.com/yourname), choose a quantity between a small and a large and pay. Delivery runs on the Stories live at the time. If your Stories expire before delivery finishes, the rest can't be delivered and is refunded to your wallet.
Close Friends and hidden Stories
Close Friends Stories and Stories hidden from some followers aren't public, so views can't reach them. Post the Story to everyone if you want views on it.
Example: a Delhi thrift store
A Delhi thrift page drops new stock on Stories every evening at 8pm. It orders 1,000 Story views right after the drop. Followers who open Stories see a page that people clearly watch, which builds the urgency the drop relies on, and the first DMs asking for sizes arrive within minutes.
Reading Story insights honestly
Instagram shows reach, forward taps, back taps, exits and replies for each Story. Paid views raise reach and the viewer list, but not taps or replies. When you study which Stories work, compare taps and replies between Stories rather than raw views, and you'll still get a true picture of what your real audience responds to. If you share insights with a brand, be upfront about any paid promotion; brands increasingly check engagement quality.
