Who 10,000 fits
National and large regional brands, newspapers and TV channels, universities, hospital chains, political parties' official channels, large religious organisations, and creators with a very large audience elsewhere. A Channel at 10,000 looks like a major source of updates in its field.
Non-drop at this scale
WhatsApp's spam bans can take thousands of followers from Channels built on basic accounts. At 10,000, use non-drop followers with the longest refill window available.
Delivery over weeks
On the default option, 10,000 followers take about 1–5 days. A steady climb looks like a Channel being promoted and shared.
Run it like a publication
Large Channels need a posting schedule, a consistent format and someone responsible for accuracy. Followers trust a Channel that posts clear, checked updates at predictable times, and unfollow one that floods them with forwards.
Example
A Bengaluru FM radio station launched a WhatsApp Channel for traffic updates, show schedules and contest announcements, promoted on air. Real followers reached 6,000 in the first month. The station ordered 10,000 non-drop followers over a month and posted morning and evening traffic summaries daily. Advertisers who bought on-air slots began asking for Channel mentions as part of their packages.
Readership and honesty
Sponsors and partners check post views in the app. Keep views in proportion and quote real figures when selling.
Channels only
This works on WhatsApp Channels only.
Getting the link
Open the Channel, tap its name, then Share or Copy link.
What followers won't do
They won't read or click. They make the Channel look in proportion to the organisation behind it.
Payment and refunds
Pay by UPI from any app. If fewer than 10,000 followers are delivered, the difference goes back to your wallet automatically, and refill-period drops are topped up from the order page.
Guard against impersonation
Large Channels attract copycats that use similar names and logos to spread scams. Mention your official Channel link on your website and social profiles, say in the description that you'll never ask followers for payments or OTPs, and report impersonating Channels to WhatsApp. Followers who trust that your Channel is the real one keep reading it.
Measure what matters
Track views per post, reactions and, where you include links, clicks. Those numbers, not the follower count, tell you whether the Channel is working. Use the follower count to look established; use the engagement numbers to decide what to post.
