WhatsApp Channels in the Gulf
WhatsApp Channels, launched in 2023, let businesses and creators broadcast updates to followers in a one-way feed under the Updates tab. In the Gulf, where almost everyone uses WhatsApp, channels for retailers, restaurants, real-estate agents, clinics and news are growing quickly. Followers' phone numbers are hidden from the channel owner and from each other.
Who orders Arab followers
Indian businesses selling to Gulf customers: Dubai and Sharjah real-estate agents, grocery and restaurant chains run by Indian owners, Kerala and Gujarati businesses with Gulf branches, Arabic-language channels for Indian spices, textiles and jewellery, and travel agencies selling India trips to Gulf families.
What Arab-targeted means
The followers come from WhatsApp accounts that look Arabic-speaking and Middle Eastern. WhatsApp shows channel owners only a total count and limited insights, so the targeting matters mostly for how the channel's audience appears in tools and to partners.
Pricing
Arab followers start at ₹119.90 per 100 on the default option. They cost more than mixed followers, because the pool is smaller.
Example
A Dubai-based Indian jeweller opens a WhatsApp Channel in Arabic and English for gold rate updates and new designs. With 70 followers, mostly staff, it looks new. The jeweller orders 1,000 Arab followers, puts the channel QR code at the shop counter and posts the gold rate each morning at 10 am.
Grow with real customers
Put the channel link on receipts, your Instagram bio, your website and your Google Business profile. Ask customers to follow at the counter. In the Gulf, many people follow businesses they already buy from.
Posting rhythm
Post once or twice a day at most. Followers get a notification only if they turn them on, so make each update clear and useful: prices, new arrivals, timings during Ramadan and Eid offers.
Language
Post in Arabic and English, or in the language most of your customers prefer. Many Gulf channels run by Indian businesses post in both, with Arabic first.
WhatsApp's rules
WhatsApp's Channel guidelines prohibit spam and fake engagement. It can remove accounts and suspend channels that break its rules. Keep orders modest and post genuinely useful updates.
How many to order
For a local shop, 500 to 2,000 followers is plenty. For a bigger brand with several branches, more can fit, but keep the number realistic for your customer base.
What followers won't do
They won't read updates, react, share or visit your shop. They make the channel look established to the real customers who find it.
Getting the link right
Open your channel, tap the channel name, choose Share and copy the link, which looks like whatsapp.com/channel/ followed by a code. The channel must be public.
Privacy
We never ask for your WhatsApp number, login code or business account access. Only the public channel link is used.
Payment and refunds
Top up by UPI from ₹100 and pay from your wallet. Undelivered followers are refunded to your wallet automatically.
