Who 5,000 fits
Brands with customers across a region, local and regional news outlets, colleges and universities, hospitals, large temples and trusts, and creators with lakhs of Instagram or YouTube followers who want a direct WhatsApp channel. For a small business, 5,000 looks out of step; smaller packs fit better.
Non-drop or refill at this size
A 20% drop on 5,000 is 1,000 followers. If the Channel's size goes on posters, rate cards or a website, use non-drop or refill so the number you print stays true.
Delivery
On the default option, 5,000 followers take about 1–5 days. Order well before a launch or a print run.
Readership matters
Advertisers and partners check views on recent posts. Keep views in proportion, post at consistent times and keep updates short and useful.
Example
A Kozhikode Malayalam news website launched a WhatsApp Channel for morning headlines and breaking alerts. It reached 2,500 real followers through links in articles, then ordered 5,000 non-drop followers over two weeks. The Channel's size became part of the site's pitch to local advertisers, alongside real post-view figures, and several businesses bought sponsored morning bulletins.
Channels only
This works on WhatsApp Channels only. WhatsApp Business Channels work too.
Getting the link
Open the Channel, tap its name, then Share or Copy link.
Honesty with advertisers
Quote real view figures and click results when selling sponsored posts. Advertisers can check views themselves in the app.
What followers won't do
They won't read or click. They make the Channel look as established as the brand behind it.
Payment and refunds
Pay by UPI from any app. If fewer than 5,000 followers are delivered, the difference goes back to your wallet automatically.
Promote the Channel everywhere
At this size, the Channel should be visible wherever your audience already is: in articles, on product packaging, in email signatures, on the website header, in Instagram bios and in printed material. Real followers who join from those places read updates and react, which keeps views in proportion to the follower count you've built and gives advertisers something real to buy.
Sponsored updates
If you sell sponsored posts on the Channel, label them clearly and keep them occasional. Followers tolerate a sponsored update now and then, but a Channel that becomes mostly ads loses the readers that made it valuable to advertisers in the first place.
