Why deals work on WhatsApp
Many Indian shoppers, especially those who don't use Telegram, check WhatsApp dozens of times a day. A WhatsApp Channel lets them follow a deals creator and see updates in the Updates tab without joining a noisy group. Channels also keep followers' numbers private, which shoppers prefer.
What we'd order
1. Channel followers, a few hundred to a few thousand for a new channel, gradually.
2. Update views and reactions on the best deals, in proportion to followers.
3. Nothing involving bulk messaging or contact lists.
No bulk messaging
Sending deal messages to people who didn't opt in, through broadcast tools or scraped numbers, breaks WhatsApp's terms and gets numbers banned. It can also break India's telecom rules on unsolicited commercial communication and data protection law. Channels are opt-in by design; keep it that way.
Affiliate disclosure
Add a line to your channel description that links are affiliate links and you may earn a commission. ASCI's guidelines expect disclosure of material connections, and affiliate programmes require it.
Post fewer, better deals
WhatsApp Channel followers mute channels that post too often. Ten carefully chosen deals a day usually outperform a hundred. Add the price, the original price and why it's a good deal.
Example: a Jaipur fashion deals channel
A Jaipur creator runs a WhatsApp Channel for women's ethnic wear deals under ₹999 from Myntra, Ajio and Meesho. It has 300 followers from her Instagram. She orders 2,000 followers over two weeks and adds reactions to her best daily pick. She posts eight curated deals a day with prices, and grows to 25,000 real followers by Diwali.
Cross-promote from Instagram
Post a Reel of the day's best find with 'more deals on my WhatsApp Channel' and the link in your bio. Instagram is where most channel followers discover you.
WhatsApp's rules
WhatsApp's Channel guidelines prohibit spam, scams and fake engagement, and channels that break them can be suspended. Keep numbers modest and content genuine.
Channel link
Copy the link from your channel's Share option, whatsapp.com/channel/ followed by a code.
Delivery
Followers arrive gradually, starting within minutes to a few hours.
Budget
A few hundred rupees covers followers for a new channel. Top up by UPI; undelivered quantity is refunded automatically.
Privacy
We never ask for your WhatsApp number, OTP or business account access.
Check deals before posting
Prices change within minutes during sales. Check the price and stock before posting, and edit or remove expired deals so followers don't feel misled.
Telegram alongside
Many deal creators run both. Telegram suits heavy deal volumes; WhatsApp suits curated picks for a wider audience.
Sale season planning
The biggest deal moments in India are the festive sales around Dussehra and Diwali, Republic Day and Independence Day sales, and end-of-season fashion sales. Build your channel's following a month before each sale, post a preview of the best expected deals, and remind followers to turn on notifications for sale day.
Pin your best content
Use the channel description to say what you post, how often and in which categories. When you find an exceptional deal, react to it yourself and ask followers to share the channel with friends who'd want it. Personal recommendations are how most WhatsApp Channels grow.
Measure through your affiliate dashboard
Your affiliate dashboard shows which deals earned clicks and sales. Use it, not the follower count, to decide which categories to post more of. A smaller channel whose followers buy is worth more than a big one whose followers ignore you.
