Why the count is real but the audience isn't
A view is registered when a Reel starts playing for an account. Services play your Reel from many accounts, so Instagram counts the views. But those plays are short and aren't followed by likes, shares or follows, so they don't behave like an interested audience.
What views do for you
They change the first impression. A new Reel sitting at 80 views looks like a flop; one at a few thousand looks worth watching. That can make real viewers more willing to stop and watch, especially in the first hour after posting.
What they don't do
Instagram's Reels ranking depends on watch time, rewatches, shares and saves from real viewers. Bought views won't make a weak Reel go viral or reach Explore by themselves.
Do they disappear?
View counts are fairly stable compared with followers, since views aren't tied to an ongoing relationship. Occasionally Instagram filters invalid views, which can lower the count.
Example
A Kochi travel creator adds 3,000 views to each new Reel in its first hour. One Reel on a hidden waterfall then earns real shares in Malayali travel groups and reaches 400,000 accounts. The bought views didn't cause that; the content did.
Safety
Only the public Reel link is needed. Keep the account public during delivery.
Reels versus Story views
Reel views stay on the post and are visible to everyone, so they influence first impressions for weeks. Story views are only visible to you, the account owner, and disappear after 24 hours, so they mainly matter if you show Story stats to brands or partners. If you do, be honest: brands increasingly ask for screenshots of reach and follower breakdowns, which bought Story views don't change.
Choosing a sensible quantity
Look at what your Reels normally get. If they reach 600 to 1,000 views, adding 2,000 to 4,000 looks like a good post rather than an injection. A Reel jumping from 300 to 100,000 views with 20 likes looks fake to anyone who checks. Add a small number of likes when you add views.
Measuring real interest
In Insights, compare accounts reached, average watch time, shares and follows for each Reel. Those numbers come from real viewers and tell you which content to make more of.
