How YouTube counts views
YouTube verifies views before counting them and removes those it decides are low quality or automated. That's why view counts on some videos freeze or drop after a spike. Higher-quality options with more watch time are less likely to be filtered.
Watch time matters more
YouTube ranks videos mostly by click-through rate, watch time and satisfaction signals from real viewers. Bought views with little watch time don't improve ranking and can lower your average view duration.
Monetised videos
YouTube treats artificial views as invalid traffic. On monetised videos, that can lead to withheld earnings, limited ads or penalties. Use bought views only on non-monetised videos such as trailers and business promos.
Where they help
A product demo or event announcement that you share with customers looks more credible with a few thousand views than with 40.
Example
A Pune software startup adds 3,000 views to its non-monetised demo video and embeds it on its website. Prospects see a credible count; sales still come from what the demo shows.
Safety
Only the public video link is needed. Never share your Google password, and never buy watch time.
Retention options
Some view services claim higher retention, meaning each view lasts longer. They're less likely to be filtered and make the retention graph look more natural, but they still don't come from interested viewers and still must not be used on monetised videos or to reach Partner Program watch hours.
Ads are the real-viewer alternative
If you want real people to watch, YouTube ads through Google Ads, or ad-based view options, show your video to actual viewers who choose to watch. Ad watch time doesn't count towards monetisation hours, but the viewers are genuine and can subscribe.
Signs a view seller is risky
Promises of millions of views for a few hundred rupees, guarantees of monetisation, requests for your Google login and 'watch hours' packages. Avoid all of these.
