Do YouTube views drop?
Sometimes. YouTube audits views continuously and removes ones it considers invalid, occasionally days or weeks after they were counted. Creators see this as a view count that goes backwards. Basic views are more exposed; refill options replace views lost this way during the refill window.
Which videos need refill
A sponsored video, where the brand's report compares views at the end of the month. A company's explainer video embedded on its website. A music video linked from an artist's press kit. A channel trailer. Any video whose number will be quoted later.
How refill works
The order page records the view count at the start and how many were delivered. If the public count later falls below that total during the refill window, the Refill button activates; tap it and the shortfall is sent again. Each request is logged on the order.
What isn't covered
Videos made private, unlisted-to-private changes, deleted or re-uploaded videos, and age-restricted videos where delivery isn't possible. A refill can't raise the count beyond what you ordered.
Choosing the window
Options list refill periods such as 30, 90 or 365 days. For a sponsored video, cover the reporting period; for a channel trailer you'll keep for years, choose the longest window.
Retention and refill together
If Studio analytics matter as well, look for options that combine retention and refill. They keep both the public counter and the average view duration closer to what you showed the sponsor.
Example
A Mumbai fintech brand sponsored a Hindi personal-finance creator's video and asked for views at day 7 and day 30. The creator added 20,000 views with a 60-day refill on top of the video's organic reach. Around day 20, YouTube's audit removed about 1,100 views; she tapped Refill and the count recovered within two days, so the day-30 report matched expectations.
Keep ratios believable
Long videos on Indian channels usually show about 2–5 likes per 100 views. Add likes in proportion and reply to real comments.
Public versus Studio counts
Studio sometimes shows view changes before the public counter does. Check both before requesting a refill.
Payment and refunds
Pay by UPI, with no GST or gateway fee added. Undelivered views are refunded to your wallet straight away; refills cover removals after delivery.
How many views to add
For a sponsored video, start from what the brief expects and what your channel normally gets. Adding two to five times your usual views looks like a strong video; fifty times looks like something else. Refill keeps the number steady, but it can't make an unrealistic number look believable to a brand's analyst.
Getting the link
Use the link from Share under the video. watch?v= and youtu.be links both work. Keep the video public for the whole refill window, and don't replace it with a re-upload, because a new upload gets a new link that the order can't follow.
