How ad-based views work
Your video runs as an in-stream or in-feed ad to an audience. When a viewer watches long enough or clicks, YouTube counts a view. These viewers are real people, but they were shown your video because it was promoted, not because they searched for it or subscribed.
How it differs from other views
Ordinary bought views come from sources outside YouTube's ad system. Ad views come from YouTube's own advertising, so they're the most policy-friendly way to put a video in front of new viewers. They usually cost more and deliver more slowly than other options.
Monetisation watch hours
Watch time from paid ad campaigns doesn't count towards the public watch hours needed for the YouTube Partner Program, according to YouTube's eligibility rules. Check YouTube's current Partner Program help page, since rules change, and don't treat ad views as a path to monetisation.
Prices
The default ad-based option costs ₹19 per 1,000. Each option shows the expected start time, speed and any targeting details before you pay.
Who should use them
Brands launching a product video, musicians releasing a song, coaching institutes promoting a course trailer and creators introducing a new series. Ad views are best when you want real people to see a specific video.
Make the first five seconds count
In-stream ad viewers can skip after five seconds. Open with the strongest moment, the product, the hook of the song or the question your video answers, so viewers keep watching.
Example: a Punjabi music label's release
A small Punjabi music label releases a new single and runs ad-based views on the official video. Viewers who watch the hook often stay, some subscribe and the song gets real comments. The label keeps the video unmonetised during the campaign and reviews which audiences watched longest.
Running ads yourself
You can also run YouTube ads directly through Google Ads with your own targeting and budget. Our ad-based option is a simpler choice for people who don't want to manage a Google Ads account.
Placing the order
Copy the video link, make sure the video is public and meets YouTube's ad policies, choose the option and quantity, and pay. Videos that break ad policies, such as some health or financial claims, may not be approved for ads.
Payment and refunds
Prices are in rupees with nothing added. If delivery can't finish, the undelivered part returns to your wallet automatically.
Platform rules
Videos must meet YouTube's advertising policies to run as ads. Misleading content, prohibited products and certain claims are not allowed.
No passwords
We only need the public video link.
Measure real response
In YouTube Studio, check subscribers gained, likes and comments from the campaign period. Those show whether the ad audience cared about the video.
