What “instant” can mean on Spotify
On most platforms, instant means a number appears within minutes. On Spotify, a track that jumps from 200 to 20,000 streams in an afternoon is the textbook pattern of artificial streaming, and distributors are fined for it. On this page, “instant” means options that start delivering quickly, within hours, and then deliver at a steady pace. It never means a sudden spike.
Why artists want a quick start
Release week is when an artist pitches a new single to playlists, posts about it everywhere and gets the most attention. Starting plays on day one, rather than three days later, means curators and fans checking the track during that week see a count instead of a dash.
Distributor risk
Spotify charges distributors for tracks with detected artificial streams, and distributors may take a track down or withhold royalties. Speed increases that risk. Keep orders proportionate to your real audience and let delivery run over several days. We can't promise a track won't be flagged.
How plays count
A stream counts after roughly 30 seconds. Public counts update with a delay, often a day; Spotify for Artists updates sooner.
Sizing
For a first release, getting past the 1,000-stream threshold is usually the goal. For artists with an existing audience, a few thousand in release week is plenty. Avoid tens of thousands on a track that real listeners haven't found yet.
Example
A Delhi hip-hop artist released his third single on a Friday and spent the weekend promoting it at gigs and on Instagram. He ordered 3,000 plays on a fast-start option that delivered over five days. The track passed 1,000 by Saturday evening, so fans who checked Spotify after the gigs saw a count, and by the end of the week real streams from Instagram and the gigs had added several thousand more.
Getting the link
Open the track in Spotify, tap the three dots, then Share → Copy Song Link. Use the track link, not the album or artist link.
Pre-release pitching matters more
Spotify's editorial team only considers tracks pitched through Spotify for Artists before release. Pitch at least seven days ahead; it's free and far more valuable than any purchased play.
Pair with saves and followers
Saves and new followers during release week are signals Spotify's systems use. A few saves alongside plays keep the track's numbers consistent.
What plays won't do
They won't trigger editorial playlists or Release Radar, and paid plays earn almost no royalties.
Settings
Keep the track live and don't re-release it under a new link during delivery.
Payment and refunds
Pay by UPI from your wallet. If the track is removed mid-delivery, the undelivered plays are refunded automatically.
